This document describes the types of information My House in the Cloud (MHITC) gathers from users of the MHITC website at www.myhouseinthecloud.com. It also describes how such information is used.

Why MHITC collects information from you

MHITC is a website which allows homeowners to store pertinent information regarding their homes. This information is available only to the homeowner and can only be accessed by a unique user name and password. The MHITC website also allows professionals such as real estate agents, lenders and insurance agents, as well as vendors such as potential contractors hired to work on a home, to sign up and enter their contact information which is available on separate directories to the general public

MHITC’s policy goal is complete transparency in regard to data it collects, why it’s collected, and how it is utilized.

Information MHITC collects and how it was obtained

You can access MHITC’s website pages without having to input any information about yourself. In certain cases, however, you or your designated Professional(s) will be able to enter your personal data, but are not obligated to do so. All Personally Identifiable Information (as defined by California Business and Professions Code Section 22577) provided is voluntary. The collected information may include:

  • Your first and last name;
  • Your home or other physical address, including street name and name of city or town;
  • An e-mail address;
  • A telephone number;

  • To improve the contents and services MHITC offers, and
